Bending

Bend when you must. Pull when you must. Both are an offering. When you bend, be at peace; when you pull, do so gently.

  1. Hi Kerri
I hope this will not offend.

I am not a religious man at all, but I know what you mean by being struck by sudden unexpected beauty and amazement from nature.. it happens to me a lot. My thoughts turn to the wonder of it all.. it puts me at peace with myself and others. I can get as much joy from a blade of grass as a butterfly at times. If I feel a bit down hearted a walk in a woods will lift me more than any medication or drug, the smell of the wet earth can change my mood as much as the sight of a sunset full of colour. Beauty is certainly all around.... sometimes looking is not enough though.. it's seeing, feeling, smelling and touching that matters.
I believe in goodness and beauty and being at peace with one self and others. My god is my surroundings and the beauty there in.

All the best for this weekend and I look forward to sharing many more posts with each other.. may your god be with you. :O)

  6. Beautiful song and my favorite ever of your pictures! Soon our brown leaves and dried plants that we love so much will be gone. Then we can enjoy the spring flowers and green grass again. God is definately in charge of all things.

  16. Beautiful picture. Peaceful.

Beautiful words to the song. I have not heard it yet but will be looking for it as soon as I finish this comment so I can hear the beautiful words sung.

Nature.....some say it is just nature, some say it is of God. A tree does not have a brain. It does not know when to bud out to make leaves in the spring nor does it know to shed it's leaves in the fall. It is always right on time with the seasons. God controls that tree as He controls our lives. Yes, I believe in God. He is my Lord and Saviour. I could not make it without His guidance and His power in my life.

My prayers are you feel better soon.

  28. beautiful photo.... and good song. God shows up in the mundane, the ordinary, the natural world, and the extraordinary. there is a caedmon's call song i love that says:

"they say you live in hospitals and trenches, and towers in the sky... and i'm not dying or fighting any wars, except on the inside..... the words i find impossible to mention are written on a star......they say that i can find you in a flower, but i need you in the car."
