Little pieces of my life and my photos.
I love your list. Blue skies help to pull me out of a funk. I am depressed by winter skies (and the cold temperatures don't help). I live further north than you so March is usually a turbulent time and often disappointing because March gives me hope.
I love photos of buds on branches! They promise so much :)
I meant to add... the only thing wrong with you waiting for spring, is that it means that autumn is on it's way here!
Nothing to better to beat the winter doldrums than hope of spring! Beautiful pictures, full of promise. The bottom one is my favorite, the light is so beautiful. :-)
Hi Kerri,I love your springtime photos.. a sign of rebirth which is sort of what you are doing, I suppose. Keep getting stronger and know I'm thinking about you all the time. Sending cyber hugs your way ((hugs)) and I'll say a prayer for continued strength.~Michele~
Great shots Kerri! I can't decide if I like the first or third one best but they are all really splendid. When March comes around what mostly comes to my mind is Julius Caesar and the Ides of March. I guess some teacher really made that stick in my mind.
I love the pale greens of the new shoots and the tender leaves. Nothing even remotely resembling Spring here in S Ontario, Canada, yet, just mounds of white snow, but at least the sun is shining today.March... it means it's the turning point of winter... the clocks will Spring Forward, the evenings get lighter, both my son and my dad have birthdays, and we pray that we don't get any melt water in the basement!
Splendid your all photographs also current post. The cool news leaders, gives hope for something news, and beautiful, on new beginning, new occasion. Between the a lot of daily occupations, more important all, but also the most beloved, daily work in my apiaries!
I like March because it has the promise of spring and my daughter was born this month.btw - the potato recipe is here
Nice little series heralding spring.
Great sign of Spring, Kerri. But I must comment as a Weed Warrior that the bottom is an image of the non-native invasive bush honeysuckle - we regularly eradicate it here in Montgomery County in the parks!
This winter really got to me as well. Lots of gray and rainm Yuck! The past couple of weeks hve been realitively dry with plenty of sunshine, Yeahooo!I'm right there with you on the begining of baseball season.
Kerri, I think we are all feeling better knowing it's March, and the days will be much longer and the buds will produce blooms. We have the same weather, only a little warmer and drier. Glad you are feeling UP.What baseball team do you root for?
You are basking in the new season, Kerri, just as I am. It's a wonderful time of the year, for all the reasons you give.
I'm excited for march too! great pictures!
Beautiful shot of buds.Isn't it great, the thought of Spring. The clocks go forward next Sunday.
I've heard about the winter funks, but it's not been until I started to blog that I really got a sense of it. So many of my blogging buddies have commented about it, and I've noticed a definite drop in conversation. Beautiful shots...
I had no idea you are such a sports fan. Pretty cool. I love March for many reasons as well, some of which you listed. I think I like it the most for its unpredictability weather wise. I seen Marches where we get 3 feet of snow, and others where its warm and sunny the whole month.
March holds a special but bitter sweet place in my. It is a time that everything is awakening and colors are returning. It is a time that love blossoms as well...A time of transisition..Love the shots Kerri!!
Hi Kerri!TY for visting me & your comment re my Mothering Sunday post.I did pop ove & see you ABC Wed. photo's but shamefully didn't leave a comment. You have some lovely photo's & think this 'Spring' post touchs a note with everyone even me in mild UK. I know your 'clocks' go back next weekend, we have to wait till 29th for the official start to our Spring with lighter evenings.Best wishesBlue
Kerri, great captures there of Spring coming.Nice to be back in Blog - Land.
I have been in a funk for the last month, too! Seeing March come up on the calendar brought a smile to my face, so I think I might be coming out of it!Beautiful photos! I love the colors in your first shot!
Oh I am also so excited for spring. Unfortunately, we live up on a hill and we are the absolute last people in our immediate area to see green. The trees can be full bloom in town 10 miles away, and we only have small buds. My lilacs come out over a month after everyone else's! Anyway, I love scouring the woods looking for signs of spring. And to see an actually green sprout will make my day!
Thank you for your comment at my blog! Wonderful springtime-photos you have. Here in North of Norway we have a lot of snow. The springtime will come about the middle of may. But I love the wintertime;)Best wishesPernille:)
I think you covered March so well there Kerri.. I have always liked March.. I like to be out and about seeing how things have coped over the winter.. the woods are coming back alive with the greenery and the birds are singing. One of the other things are the spring Lambs being born.. I have nt come across any yet but I hope to soon. All in all March is a great Month.
Great list! March means frogspawn to me...and we start grilling too. I love your photos of new life emerging...
You can see that spring is in the air. It is so nice when it starts warming up after winter
... spring is in the air ...
This series of spring photos are really fantastic. I agree that March use to be a lovely month and that is when my younger son was born. That is why it is special for me the most.
March has no special meaning to me except it was my older brother's birthday but he has gone to heaven so there is no celebration anymore. . . I loved all your photos of spring a comin' BUT the third one is my favorite!
Nice list and extra nice pictures.
March is "Birthday Month" for our family. We have 4 Birthday's this month and 3 of them are in 1 family. Very busy, but fun! I would say it's a great month.
tiny bits of spring... they are great! Our robins return on the 15th of March...almost to the day you can hear the first one and finally spot one on the very top of a really tall spruce tree. then.... they usually get snowed upon one time at least before the weather turns pleasant, you would think they would come home later......
love, love, love the last pic..........good to see you getting back into the groove.......March is the month of my parents' wedding anniversary.....a very special month for them and moi :)
