This is one of my favorite places! One of the ponds has a narrow trail around it.
I NEVER walk that for fear I'll fall in :)
Today Hubby talked me into walking around the entire pond, including the narrow part.
Oh Boy!
I was Nervous the ENTIRE way, so some of these shots are not so good, but
I think you'll get the idea.
The pictures don't do it justice....it really was narrow...REALLY!
Obviously there were others that had made it to this side.....
We found these carvings.
We found this tire. I thought itwas amazing how well the camera caught the tire under the water
and the reflection of the blue sky.
At the very moment we got to safely to the other side, a man caught a trout. It was a FANTASTIC day! And very warm.....almost reached 70F.
It was a Wonderful Way to end the week and refresh myself for this
new week ahead.
I wish every one a Happy Monday!!

What a beautiful walk you had! I love all the pics but especially the one with the tire under the water!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place! That tyre photo is incredible.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had fun on your walk, nice post and photos .
ReplyDeleteVery interesting hike! I see how narrow that path is. I guess I am spoiled with all our paved walking trails here. That tire photo is neat and it is a huge tire.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful Sunday afternoon stroll around a pound enjoying nature.
ReplyDeleteNice walk you had and good pictures too.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful Sunday afternoon. Great pictures!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to walk around the pond.
A very interesting post and that tyre gave an unique touch to the photo, even it shouldn´t be there!
ReplyDelete70F???? Wow that's really warm. I like the tire photo, it has a magic to it. Funny, cos it's only an old discarded tire that shouldn't even be there. But It's a great photo!
ReplyDeleteThose are fantastic photos. Of course, the fish photo caught my eye as I'm an avid flyfisher person but the water here is frozen solid and to see water and fishing makes me yearn for fishing but soon enough. The tire photo is incredible especially the reflection... WOW but yet sort of sad to see it in the water... very nice photos, Kerri!
ReplyDeleteYeah, the tire photo was good. By the way, I totally empathized with you about the path being narrow. I'd have been nervous too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! I love to find little trails to hike on...probably one of my favorite things to do on a lazy afternoon.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly made the most of your afternoon stroll. Perhaps the tire was placed in the water to create structure for the fish to hide and nest around.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your frequent visits and comments on Country Captures.

Loved the walk around the Lake. I don't like heights or narrow spots either. You got some wonderful rewards for doing it thought. the picture of the tire and reflection is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a very pretty place to visit. Glad you kept your footing as you walked around the lake. Very nice pictures. I like the tire/blue sky reflection. Also, on the first picture it's hard to tell where the water begins. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your "Sunday Afternoon Adventure!" What a beautiful place..& such beautiful photo's~I'm so glad your husband talked you into walking around the entire pond! :)

Looks like a fine place for a hike. I really like the carvings on the birch trees. We have a tree like that behind our house with the neighbors kids initials on it - they put them there 30 years ago!
ReplyDeletehappy Monday too! this looks like a beautiful place to spend an afternoon!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a nice afternoon, complete with some great photos to boot.
ReplyDeleteI've seen many posts now on this park... I think the more I see it the more I know I'd like to explore there myself. As for the track, I would always take the narrow one, or the over grown and unused ones Less chance of other people about and more chance of seeing and hearing the wildlife. I never walk the hills or woods at the weekends of school holidays if I can help it. The peace and quiet makes for a better walk.
ReplyDeleteSplendid your photographs and in this post, full colours and the subjects fill our soul different sentiments.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful park! I love the photo of the tire - the ripples in the water are wonderful!
ReplyDeletethe tire shot is awesome, Kerri!!!! a keeper completely!!
