Yes, it does make a difference when enlarged.
ReplyDeleteI also know how you feel all giddy inside (my knees shake) when I see something like this and am taking or getting ready to take the picture. It doesn't have to be a larger bird, and it is often the smaller ones that get within some decent range so I know the picture will turn out that gets me, as Elvis Presley said, "All Shook Up."
Didn't know there was such a creature as a 'Green Heron'. We're visited often by the 'Great Blue'.
ReplyDeleteAnd - I understand perfectly the excitement of uncovering something exciting and new.
Great capture!
Great picture! I also know what you mean about getting excited when you see something really great and unique to photograph - especially when it is wildlife.
ReplyDeleteI think I am now understanding what my husband and other hunters must feel like when the "big one" comes into range. You get so excited you almost forget how to work the camera!
OMG...I had no idea that herons of any sort would be in the mountains. Congratulations on the spot! Got a good shot of him too...
ReplyDeleteExcelent photo! It really make a difference when enlarged.
ReplyDeleteCool, lucky you to see it and then be able to capture such a great picture of it. NICE!

ReplyDeleteSuch a great shot and well captured.Well done You.
ReplyDeleteYou have sharp eyes!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that amazing. I found a new bird yesterday too. Maybe they are all confused and going to the wrong habitats.
ReplyDeleteHow cool is he?! Nice photo and great 'catch.'
ReplyDeleteHappy week!
What a beautiful bird! I can understand your excitement - it's a great subject and wonderful shot!
ReplyDeleteI learn something new every day while blogging. Looks like a beautiful bird and you got a really good shot of it.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! We have Green Herons here but I havent seen any yet this year.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo... we had the herons here at the mountain lakes but they are so shy. Fantastic shot, Kerri!
ReplyDeleteExcellent job, Kerri! It's really hard to see those birds at times and harder still to get a good photo of them.
ReplyDeleteI really like the family of geese too and the chipping sparrow as well!
Hi Kerri you really are doing very well of late.. This is a great capture.. I still get excited at seeing some birds now.. they don't have to be new.. just different pose maybe.
