    Perhaps the dragonfly hadn't dried it's wings out properly yet.

  11. Glad to see the bent winged dragonfly - I really never got a good look at it. Nice of him to land on me! And didn't the grasshopper turn out well. It was so tiny!! He looks like he's holding on for dear life :-) Had a great time!

  12. Nice shots Kerri. I was trying to photograph insects this morning, but they were all blurry. While I was busy our Siamese cat was cruising through the top branches of the bushes. I thought she was keeping me company - I later discovered she was looking for locusts, after she brought one into the house.

    That is so neat to shoot with a fellow blogger and to come away with such a great dragonfly shot!

    Look closely at your grasshopper and you will see that not only does it grasp around the grass but that it also has little suction cups on its feet that allows it to stick on just about anything.

    Another excellent post! I have never seen a dragonfly with bent wings like that. It is an interesting shot.

    I liked your bench shot in todays post as well. It is so peaceful looking and the statement by Anne Frank is most appropriate and true!
