Sit a Spell

Take rest; a field that has rested gives a bountiful crop.

As many of you know, I LOVE benches!
I do not see empty benches as lonely. I see them as
Inviting, Peaceful, Restful, Stress-less (is that a word?)
Maybe my all time favorite description for an empty bench is
Comforting!

  4. What a beauty of a picture (and bench)! You are right - peaceful is the word. BTW - in Norway there has for many years existed an easy-chair called: "Stressless"!

  10. Great photo, Kerri. I quite like benches myself. I see a spot for an older couple to hold hands, or a child to dangle her feet.

  17. I really enjoyed this photo and also the bench one at your other site. I had to go and see if you had posted it on our bench site too but didn't see it and I looked thru 100 posts to try to find it. I do hope you will put it there too.

I have a bunch more benches to post -- just haven't gotten around to it since Malyssa is without a computer just now and she always drops by to leave a comment. I will resume again shortly.

  18. When I see a bench, I see a place to sit and forget my troubles for a while. While an empty bench will sometimes look a little lonely to me, I usually see an invitation.

    Beautiful shot!
