Little pieces of my life and my photos.
Oh sweet! I tried getting hummers to drink from my hand...all I got were the bees :-( Perhaps next summer I'll try for the passerines :-) Like your new banner...
This is really sweet! Such gentleness.
This photo just made my day.. it's a beauty.
The nuthatch is sooo tame. I'm glad you took a photo of it eating out of a hand!
Love it!A wildlife magazine should really pick this up.
An adorable photo - such trust! Or is it greed??
Gorgeous. It is so special to have a wild bird eat out of ones hand. You are indeen fortunate. Blessings,Ruth
It's so adorable! Is it the same little guy as in your banner?
Big smile here!!! I love nuthatches, and that is an amazing photo and the perfect quote to go with it.
thank you for your wonderful comments on my blog
Beautiful pictures - I am amazed that you got the bird to eat out of your hand. I have a hard time even getting them to come to my yard.
Dear Kerri,Oh my goodness!! The little White Breasted Nuthatch is so cute...How amazing... I see them at my feeders and wish one would come so near.Do tell your secret...Sherry
Wow Kerri, is this you? I've always wanted to feed a wild bird. Don't know why I don't try either. You've given me a good idea.Great post!
Kerri, Did you take the photo, or did someone take it of you? I have little white breasted nuthatches here, but I offer so many birdfeeders and food choices that perhaps they wouldn't even think of doing this. I might have to empty my yard of feeders and then sit outside for a week straight with my arm outstretched!!! ha:)Jan
What an incredible picture (to go along with an awesome experience!). Great job...
You both must have a peaceful mind and an open heart to feed this nuthatch by hand. Beautiful.
This is a truly special photograph. Excellent subject, beautiful colors and composition, and it is tack sharp. Well done!
Excellent thought and photo to go with it.
How nice--I have tried this but am no patient enough.
Wow! And I can't even get close enough to our nuthatches to get a decent picture.
How in the world did your husband get the bird to land in his hand? That is so cool! What an awesome shot!
I've never had a bird eating from my hand. I can only imagine how wonderful experience it is. This bird is so cute and the photo is wonderful! Great words that go with the photo as well!
That's an amazing capture. How long did it take to tame the bird this much?
