Red Tree Bark

The tree is more than first a seed, then a stem, then a living trunk,
and then dead timber. The tree is a slow, enduring force straining to win the sky.

  3. Very observant of you, Kerri. Hmmm, I wonder what kind of tree it is.

I almost posted red tree bark myself (red osier dogwood) but I didn't like my photo. Maybe I'll take a better one for next week. ;-)

  9. Wonderful picture Kerri. But I 'll recall the Saint Exupéry's quotation, he knew what he was talking about by "a slow, enduring force straining to win the sky".

  12. Lovely photo, the bark curls look delicate and great color contrast between bark and trunk. I like the quote too. Happy Ruby Tuesday! :)

  14. Maybe the tree is already one with the sky and we just can't see it. ?
