Hi! He/she is beautiful!! We have those birds here, but they don't socialize too much. I see them flitting around in the trees but not close enough to get a photo. Have a great day!!
Hi Kerri, I love your little woodpecker. Great capture, and wonderful for SOOC. Thanks for joining in. Cropping is the only thing that is OK; I love to edit, so this is always a challenge for me.
Well done as such, but I agree with when it comes to cropping.
SOOC is not for me. I compose my picture, I shoot RAW (which demands editing) and I crop if I deem it necessary. I you shoot JPG you leave the editing (bar the cropping) to the engineers.
I want to present my pictures as I saw it and felt it. I have done my share of documentary photography.
Nice even without cropping. You certainly do have a nice variety of birds in your area. Most of what I see are Hawks and Turkey Buzzards, which is probably why I don't see other birds.
I looked at this and thought SOOC -does she ever take a bad photo. Then I read your quote. It made me feel much better. I think I'll copy it and paste it to my camera. :)
Such beautiful and gentle creatures...wonderfully captured! Stumbled upon one of your earlier posts about 'bark'! So glad that I discovered it! Nature offers such amazing beauty...thanks for sharing a piece of yourself...a piece of your world as seen through your eyes.
I agree -- no cropping necessary! That bird is hiding so well and you captured it anyway. It was good to see all the surrounding limbs in which it thought it was hiding safely. Ü
I think hat picture is perfect without cropping.I shows the area so well.

ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Kerri. I enjoy birds more in the winter months. They're plentiful and easily found in the woods :o)
ReplyDeleteLooks wonderful to me and no cropping needed. The pine adds a nice bit of color!
