Dear Friends.....

Another family emergency this week.
My father had to have emergency surgery to insert a pacemaker.
He was walking around and DRIVING with a heart rate of 30. NOT a good thing.
While in surgery it dropped as low as 26. We are thankful that the surgery
was a success and that he is doing well.
I have been staying with my parents for the last few days...just home
today long enough to do some laundry and get my family ready for next week.
I will be heading back over today and stay with my parent's until Friday when my
brother and sister will be continuing the care.
Once I get back I'll catch up with all of your blogs.

Remember to: Cherish every sunrise, cherish every sunset, and cherish
every moment in between.

Boy, what a year it's been for you! Sorry to hear this, but relieved that your dad seems to have passed the critical point. Yes, every day is to be cherished...we can never get too many reminders!

So much in one year, girl! But that's the way it goes sometimes. A pacemaker is wonderful. It will do him a world of good. Lucky for them that you are able to help.

Hi Kerri... I'm just up the road in Roanoke. Love your photos as they absolutely shine in comparison to many other photo blogs.

Sorry to hear about your dad. My husband used to write test programs for the Medtronic Pacemakers. I'm sure your dad is in good hands and it's nice to know that the device can make such a great change in his life.

Take care and Happy Halloween

Sorry that your father is unwell, he was lucky to be caught on time, and I hope all will go smoothly from now.
Don't forget to take care of yourself, Kerri.

Everyone I've known that has had a pacemaker has done very well and I trust your dad will too. -- I just spent a month and a half with my dad (91) while my mom (87) had lumbar surgery after they were both in an automobile accident -- he has problems with a high heart rate! God bless.

Thank you for the reminder! I'm sure you are more aware of it now your father is hanging on for dear life.
In the hub of life we forget to enjoy all the "gifts" that are given to us every day like a sunset, etc.
