This male cardinal reminded me of the pic of the woman over the
grate in the sidewalk that gets her dress blown up....here his
feathers are getting "blown up".
I know I post a lot of cardinal pics - but they are just so photogenic!

isn’t blown away!
Red bridge to somewhere!
So adorable! Do you think he's cold? He seems very placid to me, just patiently waiting for spring to arrive. Lovely!

Oh it makes him look so fluffy. Cardinals are difficult to photograph.. that bright red tends to bleed some. Yours is just perfect!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful photo! I've never seen such a wind-tousled look on a bird. He is just way too cute! :) Sincerely, Theresa

ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous picture, even if he does look wind blown.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,Ruth
You certainly did capture the "wind blown" moment! It's always a bonus when we can catch an unusual pose.
ReplyDeleteThese poor little birds of ours are just hanging on for dear life in order to have a decent meal. The weather is bitter lately.
ReplyDeleteI hope your parents are okay Kerri. Everyday with them certainly is a blessing.
I love the cardinal anytime but especially in winter. They stand out so beautifully.
ReplyDeleteLovely shot!
I love cardinals. I almost think they are my favorite because of their color. This little fellow looks so sweet.
ReplyDeleteAlways a blessing to spend time with your parents. I pray your visits are a blessing to them as well. Take care.

Such a happy-making photo! We don't see cardinals here in our garden, so I really love seeing other gardeners showing off photos of them.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet ... a great addition to your Cafepress store!
ReplyDeleteAMAZING shot! So cute and brave standing up to the wind!
ReplyDeleteHehe... he DOES look like a Marilyn Monroe Cardinal!

Oh my gosh....I LOVE, love, love this photo. Marilyn Monroe has nothing on him with his updraft!!
ReplyDeleteSo this is Marilyn Monroe in red? Cute! It definitely looks fluffed up. The red is so bright at this time of year.
ReplyDeleteYou're right: It just about impossible to pass up a Cardinal shot when one presents itself -- and this is another great one.
ReplyDeleteHi Kerri, I came to visit you from Andrea's blog because I saw your cardinal in the blogroll. What a fantastic photo! I just love your capture of the ruffled feathers. I took a look at your other photos, too - wonderful!
