Time Well Spent

I may be biased, but Blacksburg, Virginia is an absolutely beautiful area.  Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall - there are always trails/greenways/parks to visit that allow for great photo ops.
It wasn't until I was 39ish that my love for nature developed.  Now it seems that every chance I get, I want to be outside.  And it is ALWAYS - Time Well Spent.

  6. Beautiful as always. I love Mockingbirds. They're curious, friendly and seem to be people-watchers.. just to remind us that we're not the only ones doing the observing.

  7. Beautiful pic of a mockin' bird. This Ozarks farm chick has one I call Maggie who returns every year and follows me around the yard singin' and dancin' to my oldies. She has the squeak to my wheelbarrow down to a fine art. I posted three different stories about her antics last summer. I'm so glad I popped in.

Ya'll have a wonderfully blessed day from the happy hills and hollers of the Missouri Pondeorsa!!!

  8. I love mockingbirds and had them regularly at my home in Alabama. I saw one this winter and was really hoping that it would stay. It was just a brief visit and I never saw it again. Hopefully, one day, they will be regulars here too.

I am really enjoying the spring blooms, even the stinky blooms of the Bradford pear trees.

  17. HI Kerri,
I'm happy you got a nice week end and a beautiful picture... Strangely people tend to enjoy nature in their life quite late... I've been loving nature since I was a kid, but only started to look at it seriously really late, just like you! Funny ;-)

  19. The best way to watch nature and wildlife is to sit and wait for it to come to you. Have a good week Kerri. FAB.

  20. It sure does provide wonderful viewing.
It's interesting that your love of nature started at 39- my hubby's started in his 40's.
Maybe you need maturity to sit and wait?

  21. Why didn't I know that you lived in Blacksburg? Have you mentioned this before and I just didn't catch it? I knew you were in VA, but Blacksburg rocks. My youngest almost went to Tech.
