I may be biased, but Blacksburg, Virginia is an absolutely beautiful area. Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall - there are always trails/greenways/parks to visit that allow for great photo ops.It wasn't until I was 39ish that my love for nature developed. Now it seems that every chance I get, I want to be outside. And it is ALWAYS - Time Well Spent.
Nice!! We have had blossoming trees here since January! I haven't ever noticed them blooming for so many months. I gotta say - I'm lovin it!
ReplyDeleteSounds and looks lovely.Warmest Regards,Cat
ReplyDeleteIt's very nice with all the blossoms around him - a real sunny spring pic :)
ReplyDeleteKerri,
ReplyDeleteYour in Blacksburg! I have a few nature friend up there, they really know their plants and butterflies! I really enjoy my visits up there when I get a chance to go.
And we get to see the beauty you see through your photos. Thanks, for another great one!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful as always. I love Mockingbirds. They're curious, friendly and seem to be people-watchers.. just to remind us that we're not the only ones doing the observing.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pic of a mockin' bird. This Ozarks farm chick has one I call Maggie who returns every year and follows me around the yard singin' and dancin' to my oldies. She has the squeak to my wheelbarrow down to a fine art. I posted three different stories about her antics last summer. I'm so glad I popped in.
ReplyDeleteYa'll have a wonderfully blessed day from the happy hills and hollers of the Missouri Pondeorsa!!!
I love mockingbirds and had them regularly at my home in Alabama. I saw one this winter and was really hoping that it would stay. It was just a brief visit and I never saw it again. Hopefully, one day, they will be regulars here too.
ReplyDeleteI am really enjoying the spring blooms, even the stinky blooms of the Bradford pear trees.
The beauty of nature has a calming effect. This picture is excellent.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,Ruth
You take so beautiful pictures, I love them! :) Glad I found your blog!

Well, I'm sure glad that love affair with Nature developed! We're all benefitting from it.
ReplyDeleteI too love to sit or wonder thru Nature, you have such wonderful photos my friend.
ReplyDeleteKerri, gorgeous shot of the blooms and the Mocker.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that you are able to see so much nature all around you ~ I am still waiting for the warm weather to stay long enough to bring back all the birds! Hopefully soon!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos as always,
xo Catherine
Beautiful Mockingbird in the blossoming tree. Walks through your eyes are always so lovely.
ReplyDeleteI love how the birds just show up for you. :)
ReplyDeleteI caught myself watching the bees in the same kind of blossoms.
Your love of nature shows in your work - all beautifully captured.
HI Kerri,
ReplyDeleteI'm happy you got a nice week end and a beautiful picture... Strangely people tend to enjoy nature in their life quite late... I've been loving nature since I was a kid, but only started to look at it seriously really late, just like you! Funny ;-)
Wonderful photo! The trees are starting to fill with blooms here too!

The best way to watch nature and wildlife is to sit and wait for it to come to you. Have a good week Kerri. FAB.
ReplyDeleteIt sure does provide wonderful viewing.
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting that your love of nature started at 39- my hubby's started in his 40's.
Maybe you need maturity to sit and wait?
Why didn't I know that you lived in Blacksburg? Have you mentioned this before and I just didn't catch it? I knew you were in VA, but Blacksburg rocks. My youngest almost went to Tech.
ReplyDeleteYou had to have been loving this shot. It's just wonderful!
