This is one of the Herons that Hubby and I saw while on vacation in North Carolina. It looked like he was doing some dance moves!

ReplyDeleteCool isn't it. This is a common feeding strategy in tricolored herons. They are flushing/disturbing the prey and then will stab at what swims for it.
