Blue-headed Vireo seen during one of my walks. They blend in really well with the leaves. I really love his little white "eye rings" that extend out to his beak. Looks like he's wearing little white glasses :)

I've never seen one, so I'm no help Kerri! If it's any consolation, I don't keep a life list either, though I have tried to keep a yard list since we moved here on Chickadee. Vireo looks right to me! Don't you just hate it when those pesky branches get in the way? :c)

The morning Sun lighting does'nt
help, cause it changes the coloring
some. It was called "Solitary Vireo".
I had to check in 3 or 4 books to realize that Solitary and Blue-headed were the same.

Despite the small branch, the photo is wonderful! I too recently saw a Blue-eyed Vireo for the first time, even though they are supposed to be common. Such beautiful birds! Beautiful capture once again!
