I really like the photo, it is unusual to catch a bird in motion and be able to capture the details.
I am sorry about your mom and dad. We were in a similar situation with my husband's two aunts (they were more like mothers) and had only each and no children. We took care of them, and boy it was hard at the end. Good luck!
That is a great photo of the wings in motion! I'm so sorry about your parents. Having them closer will help a little, at least to ease your mind some, and less travel distance. My dad lived with us the last 2 years of his life. I cherish those 2 years, even though it wasn't always pleasant.
OH Kerri, this must be a trying time for you.I will be praying for strength and wisdom for you and the family. Hugs,Ruth The picture is great,I love the action.
Nice photo. Your situation is like mine about 10 years ago. My mom had dementia and dad broke his hip so he went in the hospital. My brothers and sisters and I took turns taking care of mom at their house. They eventually ended up in a nursing home together. It was a trying time.
That is how I feel this morning..a blur.. I always get up at 7 a.m. and this morning I slept in until 9.. WOW.. Have been helping my daughter get her stuff organized after she moved to her new place.
Sorry to hear about the health of your parents.. Would be good for them to live closer. I'm sure they love all the help you can give them. Especially your dad.. Your poor mom doesn't understand. If your mom liked music ~ find some music from her era and play it for her.. She will perk up...Have a great day and hope your blurriness goes away.. soon~!
Marcus Aurelius' quote is amazing. It's true. We need to think every day of what a privilege it is to be alive...and to have family to share that life with! I hope your dad does move closer so that he can get a hand with mom, and be closer to you. My hubby's parents are dealing with a similar issue right now too, but it's his dad that was in the hospital...now in a facility for a time. His mom wants to stay where she is, but....UGH! Well, you know!! I'll be thinking good thoughts for you and your dad's decision. :-)
I'm so sorry for your struggles. It's so very hard when our parents become ill and need help and we aren't near enough to do so... Praying for you and your family.
Beautiful photo, Kerri. :) We've all been where you are (i.e., the blur) at some point or another, and in fact I'm there now. I often refer to that feeling as the "blender effect." Life goes past you so fast and so many things get thrown at you that you just with somebody would let go of the 'frappe' button! Hang in there and keep up the photography...I've found that my photographs are where I find peace. :)
Yes, that blur does look familiar! And I think it's a beautiful, and fitting, image. Sorry about your Dad, it's hard at that stage, lots of my friends have the same issues. Would help to have them nearer to you, I really hope it works out. That quote is wonderful, I need it today; one of my colleagues collapsed at work today, I found her. Awful fright. She's in hospital now, so I do think it's a privilege to be alive, and healthy. Thanks for sharing, and take care, Kerri.
Bless your heart Kerri. I do hope too that they can find a way to be closer to family. I can imagine the stress on your dad trying to do it all there at home. Hope all is well with his ticker and that you are getting the rest you need as well as to see to their needs.
This is a wondeful picture Kerri. I do like the motion of the wings. Sometimes our images turn out to be quite interesting. I'll include your family in our prayers. B.
Oh my goodness, that's a lot of stress, Kerri. They really should consider moving into assisted living so your dad isn't carrying so much on his own shoulders, but some people just don't consider that an option.
