To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people, and the affection of children. To earn the appreciation of honest critics, and endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; To find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To know that even one life has breathed easier because you lived. This is to have succeeded.
Wouldn't it be an exhilarating tonic for the soul to take a moment to appreciate the simple, good things in life which are so bountiful...? ~Author unknown

Live your life each day as you would climb a mountain. An occasional glance toward the summit keeps the goal in mind, but many beautiful scenes are to be observed from each new vantage point. Climb slowly, steadily, enjoying each passing moment; and the view from the summit will serve as a fitting climax for the journey.

I hope you all are enjoying the climb to the mountain :) I know I am!
One of the words that has been on my heart for a LONG LONG time is KINDNESS.
Kindness is something you can show a stranger as well as a close friend. Sometimes it's a smile when you pass along the street, holding the door for someone, allowing a car to merge in front of you.
Sometimes it's holding your tongue when that car cuts in front of you. Kindness is tolerating and accepting a different point of view - even though you don't agree with it. Sometimes it's just lending a helping hand.
Can you imagine the world if everyone was Kind to one another? Oh, what a wonderful world it would be :) Hubby hand feeding a White Breasted Nuthatch.
"Whatever choice you make makes you. Choose wisely.” ― Roy T. Bennett On a daily basis, there are hundreds of choices that we make. What to wear, what to read, what to eat etc. Included in those are our "attitude" choices. In the past I allowed certain situations that were beyond my control dictate how I looked at other things in my life. I CHOOSE not to do that anymore I CHOOSE to be Optimistic I CHOOSE to be Happy I CHOOSE to be Caring. Better attitude choices - that's what I'm striving for!
