Many times I hear these creatures before I see them. Their wings make a type of "woosh, woosh" sound as they fly overhead. Quite a thrill to hear!

Great capture of a bird we don´t have here in Sweden!
ReplyDeleteWonderful capture...I'm not fond of these guys but they are fascinating creatures.
ReplyDeleteThey cast a large shadow too! We had one fly over my backyard recently...Nice photo of him! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing creature. And a little scary. You've captured his (eerie) presence well.
ReplyDeleteLook at the wingspan on that bird. Wonderful shot.

ReplyDeleteWow! What a great capture.
ReplyDeleteHi Kerri, I've been offline more than on for a couple of months, but getting back into blogging a bit now. Checking out your blog this morning I see how consistent you are about posting and how your photos continue to provide positive inspiration. Thank you and best regards. John
ReplyDeleteFantastic capture! The detail of the in-flight image is wonderful. I have seen a lot of vultures in our area lately but they rarely get so low that I am able to hear the flap of their wings. Cool!
ReplyDeleteWonderful shot. Just what we are all waiting for!
ReplyDeletewow, Kerri! How do you do this??? Beautiful!
