
More shots from the archives - May 2009. As I took this trip down memory lane, I recalled My First and Only (so far) Muskrat Encounter

This is the same image as the top one - just cropped a little closer so you can see the grasses in his mouth. I assume he was taking these for food for his little ones OR for building a nest.
I posted about this muskrat earlier on my blog - HERE he is coming up out of the water prior to gathering the grass - You can even see the duckweed on his face :)

ReplyDeleteI know what you mean... sometimes we just stumble upon critters and photo ops that end up with a lot of wow factor... love your shots, you were quite close.. wouldn't you love to be able to run your fingers through that fur coat?
