You have to be unique, and different, and shine in your own way.

These are birds I don't see very often - usually just when I'm on vacation in NC. This one posed for me at the NC Aquarium (Pine Knoll Shores) I LOVE that curve of his bill. This one was in the middle of preening but paused just a moment for me.

Oh he is very unusual, I've never seen one of these!
ReplyDeleteNice of him to pause his preening to allow a photo be taken: He must have known it would help him on the path to fame!
Beautiful photo of this bird.

Now that's a beak! Great picture.
ReplyDeleteHe's a real beauty!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
ReplyDeletesuch cool birds, even if they are built awkwardly. :)
ReplyDeleteyou can almost feel the feathers!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful shot. I usually see fish at aquariums, not pretty birds like this!
ReplyDeleteExcellent photo with the shallow depth of field.
ReplyDeleteHe found a lovely place to pose for you too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful capture Kerri!
Love the bill and that eye! Great shot!
ReplyDeleteWonderful, Kerri. I'm seeing a lot of Glossy Ibis here on Cape Ann, but nothing like this.
ReplyDeleteIsn't he handsome? And how nice of him to pose for you like that! He must have sensed that you would take a wonderful and flattering photo. :-) His eye is a very pretty shade of blue, and that beak of his is definitely impressive.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen one in person. Beautiful photo and great capture!
