Beauty in the Beholder's Eye

I never saw an ugly thing in my life: for let the form of an object be what it may, -- light, shade, and perspective will always make it beautiful.

Turkey Vulture -  Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge
His face may not be a raving beauty but those feathers ......oh, those feathers.... are amazing!
And to be so close as to hear the "WHOOSH" as they flap their wings - truly an awesome experience.

True, it's not a pretty face but aren't they gorgeous soaring in the sky? A fine capture, Kerry. I can't say I've ever been this close to one.

Great quote & image! I think vultures are fascinating birds. Yes indeed, their feathers are marvelous. I love it when they spread their long wings out to dry.

I thought i was the only one that would take a pic of them! They are rather fascinating. Have you seen them after a rain when they hold out their wings to dry? Good picture.
