And if you find yourself succumbing to one of the above for a brief moment,
pick yourself up, brush yourself off, whisper a prayer, and start where you left off. But never, ever, ever give up.

I have spent hours and hours and hours trying to capture butterflies in flight. This is the result of one of my outings. I was shooting into the sunlight - so it is not a great pic. I haven't seen many Fritillary butterflies so it was Very Special to me to capture this.
All three images are the SAME image - just cropped 3 different ways. I wanted to show you how lovely he is up close - and progress out to show you the entire scene as I saw it.

The touch of an infinite mystery passes over the trivial and the familiar, making it break out into ineffable music... The trees, the stars, and the blue hills ache with a meaning which can never be uttered in words.

Along Interstate 81 in Virginia. Another shot from our moving car - with my iPhone. Do you find that you are using your camera phone more for taking pics? Are you shooting out the window of the car? (with someone else driving of course) Linking Up with SkyWatch Friday
Simple in actions and thoughts, you return to the source of being.
Patient with both friends and enemies,
you accord with the way things are.
Compassionate toward yourself,
you reconcile all beings in the world.
The perfect journey is never finished, the goal is always just across the next river, round the shoulder of the next mountain. There is always one more track to follow, one more mirage to explore.
~ Rosita Forbes
I snapped this Little Red Barn from our moving car as we travelled along I81 in Virginia. My iPhone is a GREAT distraction from the traffic and I find myself "snapping away" at all of the sights. This was the first trip in recent memory that I didn't get anxious about the traffic. In fact - it made "getting there" so much more enjoyable! Linking Up with Barn Charm
Perspective is the most powerful tool we have. A simple change in perspective can change a loss into a win, a failure into a success, and a disaster into an opportunity. Your perspective is what turns your life into a wonderful adventure!
But real life is only one kind of life—there is also the life of the imagination.

As we were traveling along in the car near Suffolk, Virgina - I looked up and saw Casper in the Clouds. Do you remember Casper the Friendly Ghost? Do you see Casper when you look at this cloud?
E.B. White is one of my FAVORITE authors! His Charlotte's Web was the book that started my life-long LOVE of reading. Did you know that the EB stands for Elwyn Brooks? I didn't - but I think that is a LOVELY name :)
