Historical Marker reads:
Greenbrier County
Formed 1778, from
Botetourt and Montgomery.
Named for the river
which drains it.
This county had many
pioneer forts and saw
many bloody indian battles.
Here are the world-famed
White Sulphur and
other mineral springs.
Growing up in the 70's and 80's my family spent many weekends in Alderson, West Virginia with my
Great Aunt Beulah. I have wonderful memories of
sitting on her front porch to watch the 4th of July parade.
