A very nice set of pictures Kerri.. I wish you well with the tree and flowers. I have tried many times without success to learn the names of local trees and flowers. I look forward to seeing this learning process on your post.
I just love your image's. Not just ABC Wed ones but other posts photo's. The wild life shots are great. Ice & Sqirrels, one of the best I've sen today.
I love your branch with those tiny icicles!!!!!!!! (Come and see my icicles.) The squirrels you fidn are just darling too. I can't help you with the flower ID. . . sorry!
I love the squirrel the best. The icicles would have excited me back in January and a little in February but I am ready for Spring since I am seeing so many signs of new growth.
Your squirrel and bird pictures are amazing. How do you do that? Those critters will not sit still for my camera. I also have a goal of being able to identify more of the wildflowers and trees that I see.
Beautiful photos, Kerri. I'm guessing about the tree: could it be a redbud? I'm going to check and see what redbuds actually look like. They grow in Toronto but not where I live just 45 to 60 minutes north of the city. I'll be back!!
Nice pictures Kerri. While I was in south Ala some of the trees were budding out red and I was told they were maples. I couldn't get a good shot because the branches were so high.
Lovely shots! I can do without any more ice this spring! Its nice to see trees flowering and the squirrel shot is great, nice composition and excellent sharpness!
I think the flowering tree is a red maple. See my photos of red maple flowers (I forced them indoores) at: http://anitabower.aminus3.com/image/2008-02-26.html and http://anitabower.aminus3.com/image/2008-02-27.html
sure, these little critters are irresistibly cute!!! :) and the red flowers are precious.....i am not sure if i told you this earlier but we have tried to set up our new living room in tan and red..the colors in this pic are exactly how I imagined it!!! :)

ReplyDeleteHi Kerri,
ReplyDeleteI rarely know what flower or tree I'm photographing, so I include them in my posts without captions :o) HA!
Like you, I want to be able to name them. It's my goal for a while.
Mary
Cute "Tree Rat"..;-)
ReplyDeletegreat set!
ReplyDeleteI like the squirrel photo best!
ReplyDeleteOh, Ice storms... horrible. Dangerous to drive, and probably even more dangerous to walk anywhere! And the ice does such a lot of damage to the trees.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots! I love the colour of the flowers on that tree.

ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful series of photos! You captured great those icy branches! And that squirrel is just stunning!
ReplyDeleteA somewhat belated comment, but I see that we have (partly) chosen the same subject. Only you have done so much more with the I...
