Pine Needle Framing

White-throated Sparrow

Too much of a good thing is wonderful.
~ Mae West

I am blessed with beautiful pine trees that grow up along the side of my deck. My deck is on the 2nd story, so I am about mid level with the pines when I step out onto it.
This little guy is one of the many visitors I have to the pines.   They are a common bird here, but beautiful all the same :)

  7. What a great capture this was... Our once very very common House Sparrows are now a rare sight.... so please don't take these for granted.... as I'm sure you don't Kerri... I used to see House Sparrows by the Dozen around our house and garden.... I am lucky to see one or two in a month now.

  9. I'm glad that Eileen identified him- I was thinking Thrush. As is obvious, I don't know anything about birds, but this is a beautiful picture, Kerri.
Your description of your deck is also lovely- you make me want to be on that deck!

  12. Bue-tee-full!!!! Katie from Chronicles of a Country Girl sent me over here... I was looking for a good 70-300mm zoom lens and she said you get awesome pics from your Nikkor lens.

I will have to agree... your close-ups are phenomenal! This lens is definitely on my wish list. :-)
