This was a picture of Mom and Dad that was
taken soon after they married - 69 years ago.
On Monday, September 12 my mother
traveled to her eternal home.
I take comfort in knowing that I will see her again.
My home is in heaven.
I'm just traveling through this world.

I was married Sept 16/2016 55 years. This year.
ReplyDeleteYou did not have the year your parents died so not sure if it was this year?
Your Mom was very pretty.
That is a long time to be married.
My parents had there 70th Milestone. They were married in England. March 22 1919. She and Dad went to the Lord also.
The saying is. You will never know how much you miss them till you see the vacant chair.
Of course you will miss them but you have that peace that they have gone to their eternal home. You will see them again.
Kerri, I'm sorry for the loss of your mother, but I'm glad you had her for such a long time. I'm sure her life lessons will still guide you. Your parents made a handsome couple. Hugs from CO.

ReplyDeleteDearest Kerri,
ReplyDeleteYes, only that comfort that we once will meet again will sustain us during these rough days.
I just visited my Dad, and it was rather odd to visit him with Mom no longer being there... She went to heaven on January 27, 2015 and we had to deal with the grieve from a distance. No way one can afford a sudden departure by air, way too high.
We didn't have the miles either and on such short term that cannot be worked out.
But knowing that she is at peace and very near our heart forever did help me through it all.
Cherish the many fond memories and sending you tight hugs and blessings.
Mariette
So sorry for your loss, Kerri. Wishing you strength and healing.
ReplyDeleteDearest Kerri,
ReplyDeleteI am sorry for your loss.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family,
Nina
