Kerri, awesome Dragonfly! I've never seen one like it. I'll bet Steve over at Shooting My Universe would know what it is.
I'm glad your Mom is still with you this year. Your family has been through enough stress, that's for sure. Here's hoping she keeps doing well for as long as possible.
We only get the big blue ones or the smaller red ones. And, I'm so glad your Mom is going ok. I survived a coma and know all about close calls and recovery.
Kerri, It is a male Calico Pennant. Males are always red when mature. Females and immature males are orange. Lovely photo of this little dragonfly too.
Oh, I'm just so happy that your mom is doing well and that you had a nice Easter. That dragonfly shot is amazing, Kerri. How you managed to capture those beautiful colors is amazing, too.
Oh my goodness - check you out - this is fabulous!
So glad your mom is doing better, too! Only God knows the timing for our lives.... my neighbor that I'm caring for is under hospice care now - but we'll see - all in God's perfect plan.
I ADORE dragonflies. This one is such a beauty. I cannot believe what an amazing shot this is!!!! Beautiful!!!! Theresa PS So happy that you spent some quality time with your mom and that she is well.

I'm so happy for you Kerri. Miracles are made every minute. You are one of the recipients. Bless all your family. Take care. What a marvelous Dragonfly. I also hope to see some this summer. We had hardly none last year. B.
Kerri: I'm just stopping by briefly (am at work) but wanted to tell you that you must submit this photo to Pioneer Woman's Macro contest. Really. It's beautiful and she loves bugs. Could be a winner!
What a wonderful difference time and love can make. I'm happy for you, Kerri. :)
