Brother and Sister

Just back from a week in Georgia. Our son had his Turning Blue Ceremony and his OSUT Graduation. He goes on to Airborne training from here. I am VERY Proud of him!

A New Beginning
Thank you all so much for your thoughts, prayers and positive messages. As I read them the tears flowed. I am so happy to be a part of this wonderful "family"! Brianna's surgery went very well! She was able to come home Thursday evening. The entire process was a bit overwhelming for her since she had never been in the hospital before. But she really did great. When she woke up in her room after the surgery she squeezed my hand and she had tears in her eyes. I asked if she was in pain and she whispered to me "These are happy tears. I'm going to be able to run again." I knew this had been hard for her - but until that moment I really hadn't realized how hard. She is a very athletic/active young woman and not being able to be active since December 3rd has been awful for her. Now she is on her way to recovery! We visit the surgeon again tomorrow for follow up and she starts PT the next week. This is a new beginning for her!!My EXCITING News!
I got the most AMAZING news on Friday!
My daughter was accepted into Radford University.
She will begin her freshman year of college in August.
Not only did she get accepted...but she also got invited into the
Honors Academy...AND
she received an academic scholarship.
I can't tell you how proud I am of her :)
She is a smart and beautiful young lady.
But best of all - she is a kind young lady.
One of the kindest I know.
