A Smiling Tree

It only takes a split second to smile and forget, yet to someone that needed it, it can last a lifetime.
We should all smile more often.
 ― Steve Maraboli

Do you need a smile today?  Can you see the smiling face on the tree?  Ok - well maybe he's not smiling but he sure put a smile on my face!

Wednesday

Abbott Lake at Peaks of Otter

During one of our StayCations - Hubby and I visited another spot on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
The Peaks of Otter. This is take from Abbott Lake looking toward Sharp Top Mountain - elevation 3862 ft.
More info on Peaks of Otter: HERE

There is a one mile hiking trail around the Lake.

A view from the hiking trail.

At the end of the trail, a wonderful bench to
sit on and take in all of the beauty.

Slow down and enjoy life. It's not only the scenery you miss by  going to fast - you also miss the sense of where you are going and why.
