Pandapas Pond - Framed By Fall

“For as long as she could remember, she had thought that autumn air went well with books, that the two both somehow belonged with blankets, comfortable armchairs,
and big cups of coffee or tea.”
 ― Katarina Bivald

Autumn Air also goes well with a wonderful walk in the forest.

Female Cardinal and Her Berry Beak

Autumn is the eternal corrective.
It is ripeness and color and a time of maturity;
but it is also breadth, and depth, and distance.
What man can stand with autumn on a hilltop and fail to see the span of his world and the meaning of the rolling hills that reach to the far horizon
- Hal Borland

Fallen

There is no such thing as death, In nature, nothing dies: From each sad moment of decay some forms of life arise.
- Charles Mackay

Time to Reflect

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.
~John Fitzgerald Kennedy

Patterns in the Tapestry

Nature uses only the longest threads to weave her patterns, so each small piece of her fabric reveals the organization of the entire tapestry.

Hidden Beauty

This quote spoke to my heart this morning and I wanted to share it with you.

When your inner eyes open, you can find immense beauty hidden within the inconsequential details of daily life. When your inner ears open, you can hear the subtle, lovely music of the universe everywhere you go.- Timothy Ray Miller

Fall Framing

Slow down and enjoy life. It's not only the scenery you miss by going too fast - you also miss the sense of where you are going and why.

September Moment

The best things in life are not only free, but the line is shorter.
~ Robert Brault

I really LOVE September. It may be my favorite month of the year. Everything is still green but there is a hint of Fall colors in the trees.  Some leaves start to fall which makes it easier to see the birds. Days aren't quite so hot and we get to sleep with the windows open.
Oh those Simple Pleasures!

Orange and Black Caterpillar

Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple.
 ― Dr. Seuss

These caterpillars remind me of Fall with their orange and black colors.
Almost like a Halloween caterpillar :)
I think this is a Tussock Moth Caterpillar

I Will Catch You

If you're lost you can look and you will find me. Time after time. If you fall I will catch you, I'll be waiting. Time after time.
 ~ Cyndi Lauper

The End of Summer and during Autumn I get really
wrapped up with leaves. They fascinate me. All of their different shapes and
textures. Their veins and of course their beautiful colors.
 I am particularly fascinated with
the ones that fall and get stuck on other leaves.

Fall Reflections and Canada Geese

“Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all.”.
― Stanley H. Horowitz

“Two sounds of autumn are unmistakable...the hurrying rustle of crisp leaves blown along the street...by a gusty wind, and the gabble of a flock of migrating geese.”
 ― Hal Borland

“Autumn carries more gold in its pocket
than all the other seasons.”
 ― Jim Bishop

A Hint of Fall

It has felt very much like fall over the last week. Today it has been much hotter. Some of these shots are from my front yard. Others are from various local spots that were showing a bit of color.
