 ― Edith Wharton

From a whirlwind trip to New York City.
This is the Freedom Tower at One World Trade Center (1WTC)

Freedom Isn't Free

Friendship, Flag and Freedom

Friends that drove a LONG way to be with our son at his graduation. It's always nice to have family at a special event like this - but I think it's even more special to have your friends.

Three quotes for today - One on Friendship, One on our Flag, and One on our Freedom.
Happy 4th of July!

Ah, how good it feels! The hand of an old friend. ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Ev'ry heart beats true
'neath the Red, White and Blue,
~George M. Cohan

And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
~Lee Greenwood

With a Heavy Heart

"Those who deny freedom to others, deserve it not for themselves;
and, under a just God, can not long retain it"
~Abraham Lincoln

"Those who make peaceful revolution impossible
will make violent revolution inevitable."
~
John F. Kennedy

"Let freedom reign.
The sun never set on so glorious a human achievement."
~ Nelson Mandela

My heart is heavy tonight with all that is going on in Iran.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Iranian people.
