"Around us, life bursts with miracles--a glass of water, a ray of sunshine, a leaf, a caterpillar, a flower, laughter, raindrops. If you live in awareness, it is easy to see miracles everywhere."
— Thich Nhat Hanh
"And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places.
Those who don't believe in magic will never find it."
Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart. She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger. She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare them for being scattered abroad upon the face of the earth.
It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future. It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal, and that every path may lead to peace.
- Agnes M. Pharo
I thought this tree draped in berries looked quite lovely.... like it was wearing a Red Dress :)
We pray for the big things and forget to give thanks for the ordinary, small (and yet really not small) gifts.

Thankful for the berries and the trees that produce those berries. Without those trees and berries, I wouldn't be able to watch the beautiful birds that visit. Print Available - HERE
The secret of success in life is for a man to be ready for his opportunity when it comes.
~ Benjamin Disraeli
There are a few days out of the year when this Dogwood tree is full of berries....and the birds flock to it. Those are the days when the birds grab the berries and I try to grab shots of them grabbing the berries. It only comes around once a year - so I had to grab the opportunity.
Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.
— Eckhart Tolle
It is always FUN to find the birds exhibiting a unique behavior. And I guess this really isn't so unique - it's just that they toss those berries SO FAST it's hard to see them when they are doing it. I usually see that I've captured it AFTER I get home and download the shots.
