Know what that's like! We;re doing the same thing. Had early dismissal from school, too, which was cool! I hope you don't suffer any power outages. Your sun photos are really great. I feel the heat. My Skywatch is here. Thank you.
I had a photo that looked like that ball of sun recently also. . . think it is really neat! I am running late but Friday isn't over for me yet. Hope you will drop by and see my birds.
That last picture owns me. It was just what i needed. Been a long time since I have been able to sit on "my mountian" in Alabama and watch the sun go down while feeling the heat from the rocks around me. It reallt brought back some memories. It is beautiful!

The summer sun shone round me,
The folded valley lay
In a stream of sun and odour,
That sultry summer day.
The tall trees stood in the sunlight
As still as still could be,
But the deep grass sighed and rustled
And bowed and beckoned me.
The deep grass moved and whispered
And bowed and brushed my face.
It whispered in the sunshine:
"The winter comes apace."
