Many Blessings

I was able to spend several hours visitng my parents today.
They are one of my MANY BLESSINGS!
I am so Thankful that I had (and still have) such wonderful role models!
Happy Friday Everyone!

A thankful heart is not only the greatest virtue, but the parent of all the other virtues.
Let us remember that, as much has been given us, much will be expected from us, and that true homage comes from the heart as well as from the lips, and shows itself in deeds.
~Theodore Roosevelt For each new morning with its light, For rest and shelter of the night, For health and food, For love and friends, For everything Thy goodness sends.
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson Thanksgiving is nothing if not a glad and reverent lifting of the heart to God in honor and praise for His goodness.

A Short Break

I am taking a short blogging break. Hope to be back to it soon!

Let Your Cares Drop Away

The winds will blow their own freshness into you,and the storms their energy,
while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn.
~John Muir

Taste Her Sweetness

I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority.
~E.B. White
One of my ALL TIME Favorite books as a child was Charlotte's Web,
by EB White.
I remember getting this book as a child and falling in love with it.
It may have been the book that instilled a LOVE of reading in my soul.

When the World Sits Just Right

when the world sits just right,
a gentle breath of heaven
fills my soul with delight...

 ~Winston Churchill

Nature Is Golden

Nature gives to every time and season some beauties of its own;
and from morning to night, as
from the cradle to the grave,
it is but a succession of changes
so gentle and easy that we can
scarcely mark their progress.
~ Charles Dickens

Fall Colors

Autumn is a second spring where every leaf is a flower.
~Albert Camus

A Leaf Reflected

“Some people, in order to discover God, read books. But there is a great book: the very appearance of created things. Look above you! Look below you! Read it. God, whom you want to discover, never wrote that book with ink. Instead He set before your eyes the things that He had made. Can you ask for a louder voice than that?”
— St. Augustine
