I am not a religious man at all, but I know what you mean by being struck by sudden unexpected beauty and amazement from nature.. it happens to me a lot. My thoughts turn to the wonder of it all.. it puts me at peace with myself and others. I can get as much joy from a blade of grass as a butterfly at times. If I feel a bit down hearted a walk in a woods will lift me more than any medication or drug, the smell of the wet earth can change my mood as much as the sight of a sunset full of colour. Beauty is certainly all around.... sometimes looking is not enough though.. it's seeing, feeling, smelling and touching that matters. I believe in goodness and beauty and being at peace with one self and others. My god is my surroundings and the beauty there in.
All the best for this weekend and I look forward to sharing many more posts with each other.. may your god be with you. :O)
Beautiful song and my favorite ever of your pictures! Soon our brown leaves and dried plants that we love so much will be gone. Then we can enjoy the spring flowers and green grass again. God is definately in charge of all things.
Hi again :-) Thanks for introduce me for George Strait. First time I have heard this song. And I love it. I will go and look for his CD. This is music for me
I think Tom said all the words needed. I think the same, I'm also not religious but it doesn't make good or bad different, religious or not. Your picture is so beautiful.
Beautiful words to the song. I have not heard it yet but will be looking for it as soon as I finish this comment so I can hear the beautiful words sung.
Nature.....some say it is just nature, some say it is of God. A tree does not have a brain. It does not know when to bud out to make leaves in the spring nor does it know to shed it's leaves in the fall. It is always right on time with the seasons. God controls that tree as He controls our lives. Yes, I believe in God. He is my Lord and Saviour. I could not make it without His guidance and His power in my life.
I've never heard the song, but it is true. God is there, just waiting for us to see Him. I hope you continue to feel His presence this week. God Bless! Oh yeah, I love the picture. Simple beauty!
I hope you are feeling better. We all sink from time to time. I find that taking a walk lightens my mood. I love the song. God is a gift, found in that lovely photo you show today. It's great!
Love the picture and the words. God is very real to me and he walks with me every day. I see His Hand everywhere. Hope you are feeling back to normal soon. I'm not quite there yet, but I'm working on it. :-)
beautiful photo.... and good song. God shows up in the mundane, the ordinary, the natural world, and the extraordinary. there is a caedmon's call song i love that says:
"they say you live in hospitals and trenches, and towers in the sky... and i'm not dying or fighting any wars, except on the inside..... the words i find impossible to mention are written on a star......they say that i can find you in a flower, but i need you in the car."
Ohh....what a beautifully photo you shear whit us. I love the simple photo, it lies so much beauty in it. So simple and so amazing. And the song...i should really like to hear it for real.
Hi Kerri. Hope all is well with you. It's such a tender photo. I envy your talents. Sorry I haven't been around but I'm glad I'm back. I missed you. (Hug)
