This is one of my FAVORITE trees at the Izaak Walton Park
But....I thought it was neat to see some creatures out and about
that you may not normally see until warmer weather.
This is a horrible picture....I was VERY far away (see not a fan of spiders)
so I had to zoom in on the picture once I got it on the computer...it lost
quite a bit of resolution.
I got the duck landing.....and part of his reflection :)
I love seeing "take offs" and "landings"

Happy Tuesday Everyone!!

This is beautiful series of photos. The first and last photo I like the most. It is great the way you caught a duck in the air and its reflection in the water. Your previous post also is beautiful and interesting.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful area! great capture of the duck!
ReplyDeleteOh Kerri, you do such a fabulous job!
ReplyDeleteThe duck is awesome... reflections are great! Obviously Sunday was a perfect day for photo shooting! WOW!!!
With the exception of the last couple of days, it's been nice outside around here too. It's great to get out after being cooped up during winter.
ReplyDeleteThe duck landing is very cool.
I am so glad spring is so near.
ReplyDeleteYou took some incredible pictures on Sunday.
The duck is way cool!!
Kerri,
ReplyDeleteYou take the most beautiful photos. Really, you have a great eye for photography. Your Sunday was a dream...underwater shots, ducks in for a landing - they're all great. Wish I was there.
Mary
The warm weather was here as well for a brief moment. The shot of the duck is outstanding, very impressionistic.
ReplyDeleteThat is incredible that you got those under water photos, I also love the duck's reflection in the water, you did good catching it.
ReplyDeleteAnother super collection of photos , I also like the bird landing and its reflection.
ReplyDeleteI love that tree also! I clicked on it to see the two objects in the background. Is that a cross? Did someone have an accident and they erected a cross with roof over it to remember them by? On the other side, is that a swing set structure? Looks like a wonderful walking path. Have you considered taking a photo of your favorite tree in different seasons? Then you could put them together in a quilt type photo/collage.
ReplyDeleteThe water photo with the "trash" in it. . . sicne it is so visible, why doesn't the park and recreation dept clean it up? it's kinda neat looking in a photo tho.
we had gorgeous weather sunday and monday too. perfect for a visit to a nature park... probably one of my favorite activites on a warm afternoon. i love the shot of the duck landing. the ducks are back around here, too.
ReplyDeleteI think you got some remarkable shots. I especially like the underwater ones and the one of the landing mallard. Yes, it was a great day here on Sunday as well. A nice little boost to tolerate the remainder of winter.
ReplyDeleteWOW Kerri, they all, the pictures are super
ReplyDeleteLike the spider...and of course the duck
The underwater with the STUFF nasty commentary on us...litter wise
I love the duck picture with the reflection.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a wonderful weekend. Thanks for sharing the pictures with us. They are excellent!
ReplyDeleteThat was a wonderful outing. I'm so glad you took me and the rest of us along for the day, Kerri.
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely photos. I can see why that is your favorite tree - it's so stately. I'm a big spider fan so it was very nice to see one during this cold snowy time. They are fascinating creatures.
ReplyDeleteI love the duck landing photo. And the first also. Good colors.
ReplyDeleteAnother good set of pictures from this great park.... I am like you when it comes to spiders... not they biggest fan at all.. in fact I'm a complete coward when I come across them.. I shout for Janes help.. ha!.
ReplyDeleteI have tried and tried to get a desent shot of a duck or goose coming into land... none of mine are as good as yours.
I love days like that when you come away feeling good. We often go somewhere spontaneously and those are generally the best outings. Nice shots.
ReplyDeleteNice! Anna :)
ReplyDeleteYou did an awesome job with this capture Kerri. I enjoyed your stroll through the park. Love this warm weather!!
ReplyDeleteYour spider picture gives me the creeps! In a good way, of course. :) I think your duck landing picture is stunning - great job!
ReplyDeleteAgain, I like them all, but that bottom one, as the great philosopher, Jimmy "J.J." Walker would say, "Dine-O-Mite!"
