Dragons and a Damsel

The top three are dragonflies - this last one is an Ebony Jewelwing damselfly.
I LOVE seeing these amazing flying creatures!

Great shots.
I can never take good macros - my hand shakes too much - or when I'm about to press the shutter release a breeze moves the flower.

Great photos. And such cooperative dragonflies. I've been trying to get a few around here to slow down so I could take their pictures. No luck so far.

Nice shots! I would say the first two are Widow Skimmers, the third is probably a Blue Dasher (but I'm not entirely sure on that one) and the last is definitely an Ebony Jewelwing - a type of broad-winged damselfly that likes creeks.

What nice shots! I'm not sure what it is either but I captured something similar not long ago.

You certainly took some great pictures. I don't know what the last picture is either, but I have seen them around here too.

Looks like a fishfly that got a coat of pretty green paint. Not sure what it is. But wow, great dragonfly shots!

Fantastic detailed closeups. I love the one with the sunlight passing through its wings. Great Nature studies.
