Heaven in a Wildflower

Looking down inside a Blue Chicory Wildflower

A closer look :)

To see the world in a grain of sand
and heaven in a wildflower,
hold infinity in the palm of your hand
and eternity in an hour.

  2. Beautiful, I don't think I've ever seen Chicory. Perhaps it doesn't grow, here, in the West.

  11. Chicory is the most beautiful blue! I like seeing it on the roadsides and in the fields. Chicory root was sometimes used as a substitute for coffee, so it is useful as well as pretty.

  28. Is this the wild chicory that grows along the roads? We have a lot of it in bloom here in Ohio where I live.

Well, I went over and joined Luiz Santilli Junior's flowers group and planted some flowers and they are already in bloom at my new blog, Thunder Maker.

It looks like I am going to have to try and catch up with everyone. Your flowers are beautiful.
