One of the most tragic things I know about human nature
is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden
over the horizon instead of enjoying the roses that are
blooming outside our windows today.
~Dale Carnegie
A good reminder for us all! Enjoy your life, whatever it is and don't forget to do some scribbling outside the lines...
ReplyDeleteThat is the secret of contentment. Living in the present and being satisfied and happy with what we have.
ReplyDeleteGreat quote. I think photography helps me appreciate the world around me, otherwise I might miss a lot more than I do.
ReplyDeleteGood colors and a nice composition!!!

I am trying to find the beauty in snow, sleet and freezing rain...
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's in the warm blanket over my lap and the steam rising from a fragrant cup of tea...
:)

I have found that when we don't believe in our thoughts but pay attention to our feelings in this one moment, we can't go wrong. Enjoy your Garden.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo and great thoughts. I missed this yesterday so I wish you a happy Friday instead. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat most be the moptto for such a beauty!
ReplyDeleteI too am a worrier. I hate it but it's hard not to be when you have two teenage daughters. However, that said, given the right moment, and a sense of peace all that worry slips away. We're all a work in progress.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo and poem : )
Great quotes and great reminder! Thank you for that. Beautiful composition on the photo as well as the colors. Great shot, as usual!
ReplyDeleteA great quote and a super photograph.
ReplyDeleteI find myself always looking ahead to a more ideal time of year. Now I await spring and summer, but when it is hot and humid, I get anxious for the cooler days of autumn and when it is really bad, I even long for weather like this Still I find that with increasing age, I do tend to treasure the present more than I used to.
Lovely words that contain good advice. Very Beautiful capture.

ReplyDeleteI love this quote. I need to remind myself to take time out every day to enjoy life - it's so easy for me to get caught up in work or household things.
