Oh! Oh! I HAVE one of them! I LOVE him! I always wonder why they call them red BELLIED when it's their HEAD that is red! Somebody was seriously confused in naming that bird!
I love this one. I don't see too many birds around here in the suburbs of San Francisco - maybe I'm not looking carefully enough - so I don't tire of looking at yours. I really like it when you give the names of them, too. Thanks and enjoy RT.
I love the shot of the woodpecker and the cedar waxwing in the previous post. I don't think I have any good still shots of the waxwings, but I have videotaped them quite a bit.
One thing is certain, you won't bore me with bird photos like these.
Ruby Tuesday indeed! Love this shot from the moment I saw it! It's not to often we have this woodpecker so its always a nice surprise when they do show up : )
How could one be bored with treasures like you have each time you blog? That one was perfect for Ruby Tuesday! My first thought was a very patriotic bird sicne it is red, white and blue.
A very special and delicate bird for Ruby Tuesday. You couldn't mis your chance. This bird is perfect.
ReplyDeleteVery colorful bird, what a ruby colored head.
ReplyDelete'll never be bored by them, Kerri. ;-)

Beautiful bird! I know I'll never get tired of these photos - I don't get to see birds like this, so your photos are a treat!
ReplyDeleteGreat color! I'm not sure I'd be able to tell a red-bellied from a red-headed...but then...I'm not too good at identifying anything ;)
