Muskrat Love

During an adventure out to a marshy area, this muskrat decided to climb out of the marsh and gather some weeds.
Then he hopped back into the water and swam away.
Quite an experience for me as  this was my first muskrat sighting!  He reminded me of a Really BIG Guinea Pig with a long tail :)

  1. Hey Kerri...I just realized that somehow I lost your blog's feed. I didn't think about it much when I didn't see new posts...thinking you were busy with other things going on in your life. But today when you commented on my post, I thought to click on your link and oila...there was a post for today. My dust is still settling, but let's try to get together sooner than later!

  7. Great action shot of the muskrat. I came upon one once when swimming as a kid. I swam under a raft out in a lake and there he was. I don't know who was more scared, him or me!! :-)

These little critters can be extremely elusive and here you got him (or her) with a mouth full!
