Sacred Moments

We inhabit ourselves without valuing ourselves, unable to see that
here, now, this very moment is sacred;
but once it's gone - its value is incontestable.
~Joyce Carol Oates
Oh, I am sooooo trying to value every moment!

  1. I totally agree with the words of Joyce Carol Oates. I like to us the old Latin variation "Carpe Diem".

    You bench looks like the perfect place for just that - to find that moment and to capture the day.

    Thank you for "the plug"! ;-)

  2. Ah, how beautiful of an area! So lush... it's almost unbelievably green!
    I can only imagine the birds songs that one would hear sitting at this bench.

  5. This photo makes me want to be in it...sitting on the bench, reading a book or staring out at whatever it is facing.

  11. It looks like one of those places where you tell someone to "meet me at the lovely bench in the park." :c) I'd love to sit there and chat.

  17. A truly evocative shot - one's imagination provides all sorts of possibilities; from a squirrel beneath the bench picking up left scraps, to a mother sitting for a few blissful moments of peace as she rocks the pram holding her sleeping baby....
