During the summertime it is so hard for me to get any decent shots of birds. The birds are usually hiding behind the leaves. This Towhee was a bit more cooperative. It helps when the leaves start to thin out a bit.
I'm with you Kerri... that's one really good thing about the trees losing their leaves! :c) I have taken so few bird photos this summer, that even I am tired of all the butterflies in my camera... lol! Have a great weekend!
Wonderful capture of a handsome bird! The colors are lovely. I too miss photographing birds. Looks like fall migration is right around the corner, though :)

That is an amazing photo. The red and black berries are a perfect complement to his red eye and black cap. Love the "bokeh" in the background, too.
Great photo of the bird and the berries that he's probably feeding upon. I'll bet they're tasty.
