To be seeing the world made new every morning, as if it were the morning of the first day, and then to make the most of it for the individual soul as if each were the last day, is the daily curriculum of the mind's desire.- John H. Finley

Hiya Kerri,
You were quick off the draw this morning: the ink was still wet when you arrived :-)
Your butterfly wing is indeed up close. Amazing what one can see when it is larger than life.
Isn't it beautiful! And aren't the colours lovely against the background of the flowers?
Wow! There he is in all his gold and black glory, spreading his wings like a cloak. magnificent, and tiger-like indeed.
Love the quote too- somebody told me the essence of this, but not the original, so I'm delighted to now have the real Mc Coy.
Thanks for sharing.
Wow wonderful close-up Kerri. A magnificent composition you got! Congrats!
Wow....what luck to have been there and captured this beauty!!!
My Macro is in a NUT SHELL
Oh yeah Kerri - this is a great shot.
I especially love the proboscis - when we raised the monarchs I was fascinated by the two tubes that became one -
Do you special plants around your home to draw these delicate and beautiful butterflies to you? I have lots of coneflowers that usually are a draw to the monarch - but I saw so few this year.
Never have I seen a yellow beauty like this one though!
Tiger is so beautiful. The picture is so clear.
I love the quote!
Thank you for sharing you beautiful gifts.
Blessings!
Amazing detail.
Great macroshot!
They are so beautiful aren't they? Wonderful macro Kerri!
Beautiful Kerri! Each time I see one of your up close shots, I wish I had gotten that lens!
What a gorgeous butterfly! I love to see what new photos you're going to post each day! Thanks for sharing it!
Neat closeup. I saw more butterflies in 2010 than in 2009...but the numbers seem way down from years previous to that. I hope I see LOTS in 2011!
very pretty!
Wonderful detail and color!
I still see a few sulphurs flying around.
I love the close-up of the wing. I too love the tiger swallowtails and look forward to seeing them next spring.
You really know how to evoke emotion from your viewers. This is stunning. I love your spring and summer photos but I am so looking forward to what you have in store for us this fall and winter, I know it will be amazing.
WOW!! Absolutely beautiful!!
What type of lens were you using?
Beautiful shot - I love the colors!
The details are absolutely cool. -- Bom @ www.plantchaser.com
I miss the butterflies already. They add such life and light to the landscape. Your photo is absolutely stunning (as usual).
Ahhhhh! Spring!....Beautiful! "Memories"... ^_^
That is just amazing. Great closeup!!!
Stunning details. What a great macro!
This is an amazing close up !
GORGEOUS!!!
Butterflys always make me feel happy. We don't get as many assortment as you seem to have. I wish we did though. I guess our summer is too short. :(
Happy Monday Kerri!

Beautiful shot, Kerri! The colors really pop.
Oh my! That's fantastic!
Fantastic capture, Kerri! A close up view that is rarely seen. Beautiful detail and colors. An exceptional shot!
Wow. Very nice. I stumbled on your blog through OBN. Very nice. I am hitting the "follow" button right now. =)
