Posing in the Pines

Yesterday the twig was brown and bare;
To-day the glint of green is there;
Tomorrow will be leaflets spare;
I know no thing so wondrous fair,
No miracle so strangely rare.
I wonder what will next be there!

Well done Kerri... nice contrast of the colors. This past week in Texas has been springlike... driving today to a daffodil pasture..... my first real sign of spring!

I'm now seeing flocks of 50 or more! Love them, and love that spring is... springing!

A most beautiful image, Kerri! The colors are stunning and I love the stance of the Robin. Yes, it does appear as if it is looking for spring ... so am I!

I'd love to add a line or two to L.H. Bailey's poem:

Where winter goes I will not care,
I look to feel Spring in the air! :-)

Yep! I think that's what the little birdie is looking for!...Me too! :-)

What a beautiful sign of spring! I shall know it has arrived when I see my first robin. It has not arrived yet! But I'm hopeful to see him soon. Theresa

Good shot. The robin looks interested in something. We have had robins more active than usual this winter.

We've been seeing a lot of robins out back, too. it seems early to me, but I'm as ready for spring as they are.

lovely, Kerri.
We have robins that stay all winter, finding enough berries I suppose, it's the strangest sort of non-Canadian winter thing.

What a great shot of the robin. He does look very attentive, as if he is looking to see what's coming down the road (spring, warm weather, and lots of gorgeous flowers, we hope.) Mickie
