Celebrate Unique Creatures

Today you are You, that is truer than true.
There is no one alive who is Youer than You.
~Dr. Seuss

As we grow as unique persons, we learn to respect the uniqueness of others.
~Robert H. Schuller

As I grow older I am learning to accept and recognize my own uniqueness and the uniqueness of others - and I celebrate it!
About the images: These images were taken July 17, 2011 - Heritage Park, Blacksburg, VA. I believe this is a mayfly - but I am not positive on that. What the pictures don't show very well are the little "tails" at the end. These were the first I've ever seen of this creature - a "life bug" for me :)

What incredible pictures!! What a phenomenal creature! Just look at those layers of wings! I've never seen one of these either. You are an awesome talent with that camera, girl. :)

I am curious about what kind of camera and zoom you use. I've been trying to decide which camera to invest a bit of money in. :)

Gosh ~ this little insect is almost see-thru! Excellent captures. We have ones like these too though a little darker. Their 'tails' are kind of neat!

Happy Saturday Kerri!

Kerri, these are outstanding images. Yes, I see the tail at the end! But I'm glad the focus was on the face and wings. What a great shot!!!

Oh, and finally at age 50, I'm learning to accept myself and my limitations (as well as those of others), but also celebrate my strengths. I wouldn't go back to my 20s for anything.
