The man who has no imagination has no wings.
~Muhammad Ali
About the image: This Grackle looks like he is doing "toe-touches". I often think of my bird friends (actually all of my animals friends) with human characteristics. Like this Cedar Waxwing reminded me of Audrey Hepburn - HERE. And this Red-bellied Woodpecker looked like he was doing Chin-ups - HERE
I'm not sure if it comes with age - or if it is due to my passion for photography - but I find that my imagination has developed more later in life than when I was younger. Do you find that you have a vivid imagination?
Love the expression on the bird's face. Since I started following bird blogs, I feel so much more appreciation for the creatures. As for imagination, I feel often that I had a richer imagination when I was younger. But now, I find myself getting into new interests like crafts and sewing that I never liked before. Thanks for the post:)
ReplyDeleteThe iridescent blue is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI don't know about my imagination being more vivid as I age but I do know that I appreciate everything in life so much more and don't take anything for granted like I did when I was younger. Maturity and aging do have their benefits!
Oh yes, I have a vivid imagination and even have conversations with my dogs and know what they would say if the could. My imagination soars!
ReplyDeleteThis is a fantastic capture!
ReplyDeletehe's beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteHe is definitely looking at you. Yes, I talk to and for the animals...doesn't everyone? :-)
ReplyDeleteKerri, you are one of my favorite photgraphers in the blogger world. Great shots! I love the color tone of the feathers!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you think. I do think that I have gotten more free in my thoughts as I've gotten older. Love this picture of the grackle. My mother-in-law hated grackles and would do a "grackle dance" to scare them away from her bird feeders. I think they are kind of cool looking.
ReplyDeleteI like this bird image - up close and personal. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great capture!! He is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHahah...wow. If my imagination is correct...I would be running from that bird right about now! I have a good imagination of what birds can do to me;)
ReplyDeleteWonderful picture, he is definitely giving you the eye.
ReplyDeleteThese birds always look like they are ready to stare you down! Ha!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors in your photo below ~ that little bee is fantastic!

ReplyDeleteIn your eyes & through your lens, even a Grackle is magic. There is si much beauty in everyday things, if we inky stop & look.
ReplyDeleteHe's probably wondering what you were doing looking at him. Great capture.
