I haven't seen one of these in quite some time. I'm hoping one might show itself this winter. That is if we ever have a winter.
How beautiful. I don't think I've ever seen a bird like this before. He does look like he's giving you the eye.
What a lovely colourful bird. You have captured him very nicely.
as parents, we were able to write a message to our children, that would appear in their senior yearbook, under their picture. this is part of the message i wrote to my oldest son, i have always loved it!!beautiful picture!!

Sapsucker: "Hey you. I know you're going to tell me my head and neck feathers are the same colour as these delicious cherries, but I'm not stupid. I know I can see my reflection in water. I have. And so I know I'm gorgeous, so don't bother telling me. Thanks."
That is a wonderful photo, and a beautiful bird.
Hi,Gorgeous capture of a gorgeous bird! Beautiful! Thanks for visiting my blog.Blessings,Judy
Beautiful! I'm glad you posted this! I think I saw a young one that I am posting tomorrow, so I'm glad to see a good photo. Mine isn't anywhere near as colorful, but don't know what else it could be. Just looks like a dirty colored more mottled looking downy, sort of.
Great capture, and I love the quote-that will go up on my FB page tomorrow. Thanks. Mickie :)
