It has a lovely walking trail along the New River AND is a GREAT place for birding!

Beautiful capture, Kerri! I was very excited last week to see my very first red-bellied woodpecker. I didn't get as good a photo as the one you got though. Now I 'll have to go back. ;))

Love the Radford area. The only time I get down that way is when I have a dentist appt. I really need to come down and enjoy the area a bit more.

Thanks for the chuckle! I sleep with my window open and about 4 a.m. this morning a woodpecker was getting his breakfast from the old oak tree right outside.
Of course he was. He thought you were hot stuff.
Plus he now is on bloogers. How proud he is.
