We get these birds at our feeders in the summer months. We always scare them off. Cowbirds are nasty birds.

Last summer a little momma junco was hounded by two giant cowbird babies to "feed me, feed me". She was exhausted trying to keep them satiated. Poor little thing!
Wow Kerri, such a beautiful shot! I do think the cowbird is a lovely one but too many at the feeder and my others birds are without much to eat. :) I haven't seen any since fall.
A lovely picture of a bird that is not my favorite bird! They just make me mad when they get other birds to hatch and raise their young... especially when I actually catch them in the act of throwing out the surrogate's eggs!

This may be a nuisance bird,but you have shown us that it is also very beautiful. I love the bokeh.
This just proves that a bird need not be rare or even nice to be an object of beauty. Very nice pose and exposure.
